Exploring Dharma Art

from $10.00

A course based on True Perception: The Path of Dharma Art, the teachings on Dharma Art from Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

September 14, 2023 - December 7, 2023

  • Thursdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET

  • Led by Charlie Olson and Emily Waters

  • Open to all, regardless of background

  • Location: Classes meet on Zoom

  • Suggested offering: $120*

Please join us in an exploration of the rich world of Dharma art inspired by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s book True Perception, the Path of Dharma Art. Through readings, discussion, and hands-on activities we will explore the creative process and awakened mind characterized by directness, unselfconsciousness, and nonaggression. Trungpa Rinpoche emphasized the importance of "art in everyday life" - bringing out the goodness and dignity of any situation, attending to detail, and working with the senses to appreciate things as they are.

This class is for anyone interested in exploring a hands-on approach to Dharma and engaging with the creative process in a meditative way.  Some class time will be devoted to art making, but no artistic background is necessary to fully engage with this class. Come explore awakening senses and genuine creative expression through Rinpoche’s beautifully enriching Dharma art teachings.
