Trungpa Rinpoche on Lojong Mind Training: The Seven Points and 59 Slogans of Atisha

from $10.00

April 10th – June 19th, 2024

  • Wednesdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET (11 Classes)

  • Jane Kolleeny and Tom Pantaleoni

  • Meeting online by Zoom

  • Suggested offering: $165*

Part Three of a Three-Part Series on the Book The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma, Volume Two - The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion - By Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

This third course segment on Volume Two of Trungpa Rinpoche’s classic trilogy focuses on the unusually powerful mind training system, known as Lojong, developed by Atisha in the twelfth century.

The seven “points” encapsulate the entire Bodhisattva path of wisdom and compassion, with each point containing several pithy slogans that communicate essential instructions relevant to that step of the path. The slogans are designed to awaken the heart and cultivate love and kindness toward others. They are revolutionary in that practicing them fosters abandonment of personal territory in relating to others and in understanding the world as it is. Slogans include, "Don't be swayed by external circumstances," "Be grateful to everyone," and "Always maintain only a joyful mind."

Each class consists of meditation, a presentation on the assigned reading, and  discussion. To participate, please obtain a copy of the text, The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma, Volume Two: The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion. All classes are recorded. Please contact us with any questions you have.
